Biography
Brian graduated with flying colours in print, film and TV design from the College of Art and Design in Dublin and never looked back.
In a very short space of time he started winning awards for his on-screen and print work for a local band called U2. The iconic, multi-award winning ZOOROPA album cover and the ZOO TV tour made his name. In short, he won four international awards for his work with the band. (They seem to have disappeared from the limelight soon afterwards, and very little has been heard of them since).
Brian has won more gongs than you’ve had hot dinners, two Gold Sharks and a Bronze and every year brings more ICAD Golds (the Irish D&ADs) for his TG4 idents. He has also been short-listed many times.
In a relatively short time Brian has worked with major international brands like Adidas, Allied Irish Bank, BBC, Coke, Lexus, Toyota and Virgin, Bridgestone and Jose Cuervo. Most recently he completed a 3D animated short film called “Botching”, a dystopian robot-hacking heist movie that is as dark as you like.
He is regularly voted amongst Bang staffers’ top twenty favourite roster directors. We don’t make a big thing out of it.
